  3. The student will review the personal profile with the peer.

ACTIVITIES/PROCEDURES:

  1. The student will be assigned into groups of three to assess one of their peers.
  2. As a team, the students will take turns taking their peer through the variety of assessment on the TriFIT 600.
  3. The team of three will then go over the peers personal profile with them.

RATIONALE: (NASPE Standards)

  1. Assess personal health-related fitness status
  2. Begin to design personal health-related fitness programs based on an accurately assessed fitness profile.

REFLECTION: As the instructor of Exercise Physiology, I find that the use of the TriFIT 600 will benefit the students a great deal in that they will have a better understanding of the assessment process. The importance of the personal profile data will enhance what the students can do with setting up a fitness program for themselves and their peer combined with the content of course.
