Lesson Title: Personalized Fitness Program
Lesson #: 01
Grade Level: 10-12th grade

GOALS and OBJECTIVES: .

  1. To develop an appropriate and safe personal exercise program.
  2. To develop an appropriate and safe exercise program for an individual with a physical limitation.

ACTIVITIES/PROCEDURES:

  1. The students will use the TriFIT software to develop a personalized fitness program based on their results from their TriFIT pre-test fitness assessment.
  2. The students will choose a specific physical limitation (diabetes, heart disease etc.) and modify their program to meet these needs.

RATIONALE: Provides an understanding of how to design appropriate exercise programs.

REFLECTION: The students will be post tested at the end of the semester to show the results of their improvements based on their TriFIT 600 pretest scores. They will also be assessed on their written program.
