Lesson Title: Mile Run
Lesson#: 03
GRADE LEVEL: Grade 11-12

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES: For the student to realize his/her cardiovascular fitness level in a timed period.

ACTIVITIES/PROCEDURES: After a stretching warm-up, the student will run or walk one mile, timed by the teacher. Upon completion of the mile the students will do a cool-down.

RATIONALE: Recognize the positive feelings that result from physical activity alone and with others. Understands that physical activities provide opportunities for enjoyment, challenge and self-expression.

REFLECTIONS: Hopefully the students will meet the health related fitness standards as defined by TriFIT 600 and demonstrate the skill and desire to adjust activity levels to meet personal fitness levels.
