LESSON TITLE: G. I. JANE (BOOT CAMP)

GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:
- The student will participate in a variety of cardiovascular activities.
- The student will record scores on their personal weekly workout schedule.
- The student will design their personal weekly workout schedule with the
guidelines of Mon/Wed/Fri selecting a 30 min. aerobic activity and Tues/Thurs.
selecting a 30 min. anaerobic weight lifting activity.
ACTIVITIES & PROCEDURES: Circuit rotation will include four aerobic
activities:
- 1-3 min. sprint 25 yards between wall to wall
- 1-3 min. jump rope with speed ropes
- 1-3 min. 10" bench step test
- 1-3 min. stationary bike ride at appropriate bike settings.
Circuit rotation will have the TriFIT station in the facility. Student will
use the program planner and set up her weekly workout schedule for the semester.
The instructor will give input as the student expresses her personal goals.
RATIONALE:
- Participate regularly in health-enhancing fitness activities independent
of teaching mandates.
- Design a personal fitness program. Enjoy regular participation in physical
activity.
- Recognize that physical activity can provide opportunities for positive
social interaction.
REFLECTIONS: The student will recognize the benefit of using the capabilities
of the TriFIT machine in helping them achieve their own personal goals.
